By commissioning artwork from Michelle Artistry ("Artist"), you ("Client") agree to the following terms. Please read carefully before placing an order.

1. Commissioning Process

All commissions begin with a written inquiry via email or the contact form on this website. The commission is officially accepted only after the Artist confirms availability and the Client pays the required deposit.

2. Payment

• A 50% non-refundable deposit is required before work begins.
• The remaining 50% is due upon final delivery before high-resolution files are released.
• Accepted payment methods will be confirmed during the inquiry process.

3. Revisions

• Each commission includes up to 3 rounds of revisions at the sketch/rough stage.
• Major changes requested after the lineart stage may incur additional charges.
• Requests outside the original brief are considered new commissions.

4. Turnaround Time

Estimated completion times are provided at the start of each project. Timelines may vary based on complexity and current workload. The Artist will communicate any delays promptly.

5. Usage Rights

• Clients receive a personal or commercial license depending on the agreed commission type.
• Personal use — printing for personal enjoyment, sharing on personal social media with credit.
• Commercial use (book covers, merch, branding) — must be specified and priced accordingly at time of inquiry.
• The Artist retains the right to display all completed work in their portfolio unless a confidentiality agreement is separately arranged.
• Clients may not resell, redistribute, or claim the artwork as their own creation.

6. Cancellations & Refunds

• If the Client cancels after work has begun, the deposit is non-refundable.
• If the Artist cancels before delivery, a full refund of any payments made will be issued.

7. Copyright

All artwork created by Michelle Artistry remains the intellectual property of the Artist. Purchase of a commission grants the Client a license to use the work as agreed — it does not transfer copyright.

8. Prohibited Content

The Artist reserves the right to decline any commission request without obligation. Content that is hateful, defamatory, or illegal will not be produced under any circumstances.
